The robust compact pyrometers of the PYROSPOT series 47 from DIAS Infrared enable non-contact temperature measurements, preferably in industrial applications. They have an Ethernet interface (100 Mbit/s, web server, data protocol Modbus-TCP) that allows data to be transmitted to local networks. The pyrometers can also be parameterized via this interface and thus optimally adapted to the application. A temperature linear standard output 0/4 to 20 mA and a maximum/minimum value storage are also available.
Until now, pyrometer types have been available
in the long-wave infrared range (DT 47L: 8 µm to 14 µm) for measuring temperatures from -40 °C to 1000 °C for example on non-metals or coated metals and
in the mid-wave infrared range (DA 47G/F/MF/M: around 5 µm/ around 3.9 µm/ 3.5 µm to 4.0 µm/ 3.0 µm to 5.0 µm) for temperature measurements in partial ranges between 20 °C and 2500 °C e.g. on glasses, semiconductors, ceramics and metals, but also through flames and combustion gases.
In order to minimize temperature measurement errors due to emissivity, the near infrared range between 0.8 µm and 1.1 µm or 1.5 µm to 1.8 µm is particularly suitable for non-contact measurement of higher temperatures on metals, ceramics, graphite or glass melts. From the middle of 2022, four new pyrometer types will be available for these wavelength ranges within the PYROSPOT Series 47:
Type | Temperature range | Spectral range | Optics |
DS 47N | 600 °C to 2500 °C | 0.8 µm to 1.1 µm | Fixed and vario optics |
DSF 47N | 600 °C to 2500 °C | 0.8 µm to 1.1 µm | Fiber optics, fixed and vario optics |
DG 47N | 250 °C to 2000 °C | 1.5 µm to 1.8 µm | Fixed and vario optics |
DGF 47N | 250 °C to 2000 °C | 1.5 µm to 1.8 µm | Fiber optics, fixed and vario optics |
All pyrometers have an IP65 stainless steel housing. The devices are suitable for fast measurements (response time t95 from 5 ms). An integrated laser or LED aiming light enables precise alignment with the measurement object. The device types DSF 47N and DGF 47N have a separate optical head, which is connected to the pyrometer housing via an fiber cable. Optical heads and fiber cables can be used up to ambient temperatures of 250 °C without additional cooling.
